Our Director of People, Tanya Menzel was recently a panelist at the Diversity and Inclusion conference 2017. Bringing together executives and leaders, the Diversity and Inclusion Conference helps develop effective strategies to enhance minority access and gender diversity. By promote inclusion in the areas of disabilities, LGBT issues, improve education, and foster cross-cultural understanding within the workforce.
Speaking about the topic Tanya emphasised that diversity and inclusion is critical to driving innovation – diversity of thought enables teams to challenge, explore, learn and essentially co-create. Diversity and Inclusion should not be an agenda pushed to HR, or a tick the box token concept, it should be a mind set ingrained into the culture of the organisation – every single employee is accountable for creating an inclusive environment.
